We will take a journey through Australia’s fascinating history from the 60,000 years of Aboriginal history to the present. We will examine topics like James Cook’s landing in Botany Bay, Australia as a prison colony, the establishment of British settlements, the relationship between the Aboriginal people and the British colonizers, etc. We will also touch aspects of today’s Australia, its unique nature, modern cities, rich culture. Lectures include short videos and texts enhanced by discussions.Language level: medium to advanced
